Asian food is notoriously high in sodium, thanks mainly to the presence of soy sauce and teriyaki sauce in many dishes, both Japanese and Chinese. My husband and I dearly missed our Friday night Chinese food treat after Andy was diagnosed with Meniere's Disease, so I decided to change that and make my own.

Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons corn starch
- ¼ cup water
- ½ cup low salt soy sauce I use Coconut Aminos which has 90mg per 1 tsp & soy free!
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons white vinegar
- ¼ teaspoon corn starch
- ⅛ teaspoon fresh ground ginger

Instructions
- In a small saucepan mix together the cornstarch with 1 tablespoon of the water. Add the remaining ingredients. Stir. Heat over medium-high until it reaches a boil, stirring often. Reduce to a simmer and cook stirring occasionally until thick.
